Frontier Days

Parade...

The Frontier Days Parade is anually held on the 3rd weekend of July. It will continue to be held this weekend, but there will be changes to the rest of the weekend:

The Frontier Days Rodeo is being moved to June, as the weather is more suited to the level of activity and the health of the animals.

The Parade however will remain on the 3rd weekend of July, and will be followed by a fair in the park. I will attempt to add details as i get them.  At this time this is all i know.

Construction

Just a few things in the Town of Springdale

New Administrator

The water system construction has begun for the summer. We can expect water outages, and road closures through the summer months. It is planned however that the project will be completed before the snows hit next fall. The estimated completion will be june 30.

Be patient and understanding, the crews have their hands full trying to find the old pipes without breaking them, and getting the new ones in the ground without logistical problems that were unforseen. They are only doing their job.

With a bit of luck and a lot of hard work, they will hopefully have the parade route finished before the end of July.

Movie Night!

Springdale Community Center presents MOVIE NIGHT!

Every Saturday evening, at 5:00 we will offer a different Movie. As attendance has been slim at best, we will determine what movies we play dependent on the audience.

I appologise, the movies have been put on hold recently. I ran into a few unexpected problems but they should be under control and we will begin holding movie night again on the 29th of March. Hope to see you then.

On May 1, 2014 there will be a new Administrator at the Springdale Community Center.

Ty Connor will be taking over and i wish him every blessing in his new position. He has some very good ideas to promote and enhance the Center and he has the drive to accomplish them all and much more.

Thank you Ty for giving your time so freely, and best of luck to you.

Loni
